Webwas wondering how nyu does merit based scholarships? Webi was told, back then, that there was no guaranteed funding at nyu for phd students (ie no stipends, no “free” insurance), but guaranteed full scholarships. I pretty much have to pay housing, but luckily i have two outside scholarships. I ended up doing my. Webi got the steinhardt scholarship, which basically is allowing me to go tuition free plus the pell grant.
